Description
The vineyards of ”Domeniile Pripa” comprise 17,5 ha and are located in the South-East of Moldova in the PGI Ștefan Vodă.
The grapes are developing homogeneously in a soft micro-climate. The nearby Dniester river and the inclination of the slope, protects the by the rough sun lights, the frost and the heavy winds.
The wines are maturated in original Moldavian oak barrels, crafted by three brothers, coopers in 3 generations (Ulmu village).
The ”Rară Neagră” grapes are one of the local varieties of this region.
The first harvest of this type for ”Domeniile Pripa” was in 2016.
The wine has a light red color.
The bouquet is dominated by chocolate aromas, dried fruits and leather.Also, you can find notes of vanilla and wood.
It has an intense taste with pleasant tannin’s and a long aftertaste.
Foods that go well with ”Rară Neagră” are: meats like roasted duck or grilled chicken and matured cheese.
