Description
The vineyards of ”Domeniile Pripa” comprise 17,5 ha and are located in the South-East of Moldova in the PGI Ștefan Vodă.
The grapes are developing homogeneously in a soft micro-climate. The nearby Dniester river and the inclination of the slope, protects the by the rough sun lights, the frost and the heavy winds.
The wines are maturated in original Moldavian oak barrels, crafted by three brothers, coopers in 3 generations (Ulmu village).
The ”Fetească Neagră” grapes are one of the local varieties.
The first harvest of this type for ”Domeniile Pripa” was in 2016.
The wine has a dark red color with ruby hues.
The bouquet opens up in notes of red berries and vanilla.Due to the maturation in oak barrels, the wine receives a woody aroma.
It has an intense taste with pleasant tannin’s and a long aftertaste.
Foods that go well with ”Fetească Neagră” are: grilled meats and a variety of cheeses.
