Description
The vineyards of ”Domeniile Pripa” comprise 17,5 ha and are located in the South-East of Moldova in the PGI Ștefan Vodă.
The grapes are developing homogeneously in a soft micro-climate. The nearby Dniester river and the inclination of the slope, protects the by the rough sun lights, the frost and the heavy winds.
The wines are maturated in original Moldavian oak barrels, crafted by three brothers, coopers in 3 generations (Ulmu village).
The ”Saperavi” grapes are one of the oldest varieties known in this region.
The first harvest of this type for ”Domeniile Pripa” was in 2016.
The wine has a deep red color with shades of purple.
The bouquet is rich in dried plums and red berries, with notes of black pepper.
It has an intense taste with pleasant tannin’s.
Foods that go well with ”Saperavi” are: meats (lambs and venison) and matured cheese.
